“I went to sugg for only a few weeks. The kids there are not very nice at all very few electives, and the fact that the cafeteria doesnt serve many healthy foods. But, it is good the way they use technology. Everyone gets a Mac computer and uses it in most of their classes. The thing is, if there were nicer kids and less violence, I think it would be a wonderful school.”

“This is the greatest school of all time. Why give it a 5/10, greatschools.org? There aren't many electives, but the teachers are great and will prepare you for the future. This school is definitely worth attending. I finished all three middle school levels here. I finished my middle school life with straight As and two awards (History and Presidential). Don't trash this school. A great counselor, Mr. Baietto, is the best person over there. Never trash Sugg!”

“My daughter went their for 7th-8th gradee. Their werent many electives to chose from and not much variety of cafeteria food in the lunch room. Although I would also like to point out that the academic acheivement rate has been up thhe past few years.”

“My daughter was at sugg for 6th grade and I feel it is a good school for academics but there is not much to offer kids in extracurricular activities. No art, drama, broadcasting, cheerleading, graphic arts etc. My daughters love for school deminished while attending Sugg Middle school. She is attending a different school for 7th grade”

“I have mixed reviews and concerns about the quality of education my son is receiving in some classes and lack of understanding how an Asperger's Child learns. I am concerned that his 2nd revised IEP is still not meeting his needs. He excells in many subjects, but has difficulty staying on task. He often feels very overwhelmed and anxious. Sometimes he feels unsafe because AS kids often say things out of context. He feels like he is a failure when he comes home. We have another IEP meeting with the new ESE Director. I have been advocating for him and want him to be in a place where he can develop appropriate social skills and let everyone see what a great kid he is. I am considering another school.”

“I remember when I as at Sugg for my 6th grade year. It was the best year ever. I remember all my friends and the trouble we would get into. I remember ending up in Officer O's office a lot of times. But the teachers, you could see how devoted to their work they are, how much they really love teaching, and the way they teach is very easy to learn. They dont confuse you in what they say. The Assit. Principal's you can see they're very busy trying to keep the school in order, trying to keep up to date with the students, and trying very hard to be there when you need them. Guidence counselors are very heplful in underdstanding any problem, are great listeners, and great advisors. Officer O, is a great person to talk to when no other latino is around. He really loves his job. Although it sometimes looks or seems like the students dont care, sleep time is durning class, and nobody's listening. The students will learn to respect your name once they understand everything you've tried to explain to them. THey'll look back on times and think,'Wow, I really understand what my teachers were trying to teach me.' I know for me, I thought 'School's a waste! Who cares?' But, as it turns out I respect my teachers for every time-out, every extended day, and every referral. Over time I've learned that they were just looking out for my well being. Thank You all for being the great teachers, principals,and officer that you are. Keep the great work up and keep the Sugg in shape. Naomy Velazuqez - 2000-2001”
